I don't know much about spiders but this definitely had to be a jumping spider! I'm afraid of spiders unless there's a camera lens between me and the spider. But I'll admit I was a bit afraid that it would jump on me!

Today was the type of day I imagined before retiring. A school day and I spent the entire day potting plants and working in the garden and ended the day with a group bike ride. Ah... this is the life. :)

Today my husband and I had the privilege of going into an old building that is being renovated by a local company. We wandered around the parts not renovated yet taking photos. It was a fun experience.

This is what I think I'm going to submit for the Serenity challenge next week. I won't include the haiku. Nature is often my own yard, loving the macro lens makes that easy. Don't you wish there was a scratch and sniff option for this one?

This sweet pup was diagnosed with cancer about the same time my son was last year. Unfortunately, Ella did not respond to chemo as well as my son did. Ella has the best mom and she will be deeply missed by her and rest of the family.
We love you Ella.
