Nailed dress code! Viewed
vistas, skiers, fishermen
all on a spring ride
Stronger than I think
35 miles felt good
then repeat mantra...
I didn't stop to take any pictures on my first long bike ride on Sunday, nor can I find any old ones that would work. So for now...just the haikus.

Haiku 168 She Smiled
On Monday my sister woke my mom up and held her phone to mom's ear so I could tell her I'd be there in two days and that I loved her. My sister said mom kept her eyes open and smiled while I was talking. She passed away the next night before I had a chance to get there.
Mom was 94 and had recently broken her hip. I'm glad she is no longer in pain.
Family was everything to my mom and it always brought out this wonderful smile.
I will miss her.
