I took our poor exercise neglected pup for a romp in the woods this afternoon.

Haiku 135 Scrounging in Winter
Scrounging in winter
hoping restaurant parking lot
holds tasty treasures.
My husband slammed on the brakes and said opossum! I looked around and saw nothing. He put the car in reverse and there it was. Luckily, uninjured as far as we could tell. I'd never seen one in the light before so of course I had to hop out and take its picture.
